Today you fly to Puerto Maldonado from where you take a scenic boat trip along the river for two hours before you reach your Amazon lodge. Settle in to your room and start exploring! Perhaps take a sunset cruise on the river before dinner.

Today you make your way back to Puerto Maldonado by boat to catch your short, 50 minute flight to Cusco. At Cusco you are met and taken by private transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley. The Sacred Valley is lower altitude than Cusco, so it is best to go here first to help acclimatization.

A half day trip to the Andean village of Pisac. Start by driving up to the ruins of Old Pisac where you get a great view of the terraced hillsides. From here you go to the famous market where artisans come to sell their wares.
Today you embark on a classic train journey taking you from Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu. On disembarking the train your guide will accompany you on the bus up to the citadel. Enjoy a day’s tour of this iconic site including lunch before you return to your hotel in the town below the ruins.
This morning we have included a second entrance ticket to Machu Picchu to further explore the site. Those with moderate fitness and who are not afraid of heights can choose to climb Huayna Picchu for excellent panoramic views of the entire site. Return to Cusco by train arriving in the evening.
Today you will be shown around the bustling streets of Cusco’s historic centre. Visit the cathedral and the Qoricancha golden temple. You’ll also drive a little bit outside of Cusco to visit various sites and viewpoints ending at Sacsayhuaman, a spectacular ancient citadel with a great view over Cusco.
