Buenos Aires Travel Guide

Buenos Aires is one of Latin America’s most iconic cities. Often described as ‘the Paris of the South’ it is a world capital of culture, gastronomy and architecture. Originally inhabited by mainly Italian and Spanish immigrants, this distinctly European style city has developed a unique, cosmopolitan identity. Home of the seductive tango, elegant old world cafés, world class cuisine, secret cocktail bars, closed door restaurants, curious markets, diverse neighbourhoods, grand architecture and passionate locals there is simply nowhere else like it in the world!

Aside from their famous steak, Buenos Aires in recent years has become a fantastic destination for all types of cuisine with many different restaurants popping up all over the city.

Best months to visit Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires can be visited all year round with the peak summer period from December until February. The city is especially nice in October and November, however, when the jacaranda trees are in bloom and it is not so hot or humid. The autumn, around March and April, is also a nice time to visit. Between June and August it is colder, but the crisp winter days can make for a pleasant stay.
