Trancoso Travel Guide
A popular destination for the Brazilian jet set, fashionable yet relaxed Trancoso on Brazil’s Northeastern coast is an authentic yet sophisticated fishing village surrounded by beautiful beaches. This region was where Pedro Alvares Cabral, the Portuguese explorer who discovered Brazil, first landed in the early 16th century. Local life revolves around the old village square that dates from the same period. There are a handful of top quality, stylish and boutique luxury hotels as well as some great dining options and smart boutique shops. Trancoso’s main attraction, however, are the miles of un-spoilt and often deserted beaches.
Stylish, low key and still unspoiled, Trancoso is a charming and authentic former fishing village near to some extraordinary beaches
