The Stella Australis is an expedition vessel purpose built for navigating the uninhabited southern reaches of Patagonia. Some areas the ship travels through haven’t been mapped by GPS and the navigation has to be done manually. The ship has 100 cabins spread over 5 decks with capacity for 210 passengers. Each cabin features independent temperature control, private bathrooms, a satellite phone and large picture windows for observing the wild and rugged scenery.
Simply the only way to explore the spectacular and otherwise inaccessible southern fjords and Cape Horn
Other facilities include an exercise room, shop, library, three separate lounges with bars and a games room. Daily excursions to explore the uninhabited landscapes and glaciers are led by highly trained naturalist guides and zodiac are used to transport passengers to shore. Three gourmet meals a day are served with themed lunches and a la carte dinners. In the evenings guests are served cocktails at the open bar and can enjoy lectures and presentations by the on board guides.
