The Singular Patagonia
The Latin America Travel Company Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
The Singular Patagonia sits on the shores of Last Hope Sound in Puerto Bories, just outside the town of Puerto Natales. Steeped in history, this stylish luxury hotel started life a century ago as a cold storage plant. Descendants of the original pioneers who populated the area at the turn of the century resurrected the abandoned plant that was left in ruins after a fire in 1911. Together with a top architect and interior designer they restored the property transforming it into an elegant and authentic hotel.
Regularly winning awards and attracting international acclaim, the Singular Patagonia is an extraordinary hotel with an equally intriguing history
Each room features six metre wide floor to ceiling windows with views of the fjords and is decorated with custom furniture and black and white historical photographs. The gourmet restaurant serves local specialities such as Patagonian Lamb cooked in the traditional way over an open fire. Guests can immerse themselves in the Patagonia landscapes with the hotel’s eclectic offering of excursions in their own comfortable vehicles and boats. Excursions include fly fishing, trekking, visiting glaciers, Torres del Paine, mountain biking, horse riding, kayaking and more.
