Hosteria La Andaluza is a charming and historic country estate located about 15 kilometres north of Riobamba and 8 kilometres from Urbina train station in a beautiful countryside setting. Dating from the 16th century, the estate has a long and colourful history and was even visited by Simon Bolivar. This history is evident throughout the large property which is decorated with original antique furnishings and pieces of art. Rooms are decorated in a traditional style with warm colours, subtle murals and wooden furniture.
On a clear day the towering snow capped peak of Chimborazo volcano can be seen looming over the Hacienda, a dramatic sight!
All come with heating and some feature cosy fireplaces and views of the Chimborazo volcano. The main El Establo restaurant serves excellent local dishes and the El Portal bar is a great place to relax with a cocktail or a glass of wine after a long day. There is an extensive wine cellar and the relaxed El Mirador café is a great spot for breakfast with views of the Andes. Other facilities include volleyball courts, a gym and a games room with table tennis, board games and table football.
