Santa Cruz II
The Latin America Travel Company Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★
The Santa Cruz II is a specialist state-of-the-art expedition vessel that began sailing in the Galapagos in October 2015. The stylish, contemporary and Swedish-inspired interiors were designed by the distinguished ship designer Richard Nilsson. The 50 well equipped cabins all come with hairdryers, an iPod docking station, reading lights, a safe, air conditioning and large picture windows. The cabins and suites on the Darwin deck provide the added luxury of L’Occitane toiletries, deluxe bathrobes and a special take-home coffee table book.
First class guides, excellent facilities and attentive service make the Santa Cruz one of the best larger boats in the Galapagos
The onboard gourmet cuisine celebrates fresh local produce and is overseen by Cordon-Bleu trained gastronomy director Byron Rivera. With one of the best guest to space ratios in the Galapagos, the Santa Cruz II has ample social spaces including several dining areas, a BBQ terrace, two hot tubs, a library, an observation deck and a sun deck. Highly qualified naturalist guides and expedition leaders take guests on daily excursions in groups of no more than 11 passengers for the best possible experience of these magical islands.
