Magic Galapagos Tented Camp
The Latin America Travel Company Rating: ★ ★ ★
Magic Galapagos is a tented camp made up of six comfortable tents raised off the ground with tiled floors, private wooden decks and en-suite bathrooms. There are also four slightly more basic elevated tree houses which are equipped with a sink and toilet but have shared shower facilities. The tree houses also feature a small deck with a bench and screened windows that allow guests to watch the stars from their bed.
With underground lava tunnels and giant tortoises wandering the grounds, Magic Galapagos offers a unique experience of the Santa Cruz highlands
The accommodations are spread out around the large private property in the highlands of Santa Cruz where giant tortoises can be seen for much of the year. The main lodge houses the restaurant where chefs use local ingredients to prepare hearty three course meals in the open kitchen. Evenings are spent watching the spectacular sunsets over the ocean and star gazing by the fire. Cocktails are also served in the underground lava lounge, a rock tunnel formed by lava that has cooled, creating an atmospheric and unique setting.
