Peninsular Valdes can be visited all year round although most visitors come between mid May and December which is the whale watching season. Earlier in the season (May – September) the whales can be seen from Puerto Madryn and Playa Doradillo and later in the season (October – December) they move north and are better seen from Puerto Piramides. January and February is still high season but the whales have moved on by then. There are still plenty of good reasons to visit this time of year to see the other wildlife and visit the Welsh villages.
Peninsular Valdes is one of Argentina’s best spots for wildlife, but also for exploring the unique Welsh villages. Here are our unmissable highlights and best reasons to visit.
