Why Visit Cusco in Peru?

"With narrow cobblestone streets, ancient archeological sites, colonial architecture and colourful locals, Cusco is a real treasure trove and hive of activity!"

Cusco is a city that has been continuously inhabited since pre-colonial times and therefore comes with more than a large dose of history. Once the capital of the Inca empire, Cusco was one of the most important cities in the region. The eclectic architecture ranges from grandiose baroque churches and ornate cathedrals to Inca temples and centuries old carvings. Today llamas, tourists and locals jostle along Cusco’s tiny streets yet the city still retains it’s mystical atmosphere. Gateway to Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley, Cusco is one of the continent’s great cities.

Any time between April and October is a good time to go with the high season from June to August.
