NAZCA LINES | PERU

Why Visit Paracas & Nazca Lines in Peru?

"The ancient and mysterious Nazca lines that are carved into the side of the desert are out of this world, and the overflight is breathtaking!"

Paracas is the name of the small peninsular on the Pacific coast of Peru a couple of hours south of Lima. The nearest village is called El Chaco but it is mostly referred to just as Paracas. Inland is a vast desert with rolling dunes and arid landscapes. From Paracas there is access to the Ballestas Islands where visitors can watch colonies of sea lions, dolphins and hundreds of marine birds. Nearby are the strange and mysterious Nazca lines, a series of zoomorphic and geometric designs carved into the desert. The best way of seeing them is from the air during a light aircraft flight.
