Day 4 - Journey to Arenal volcano

After breakfast this morning you will be met at your hotel by your private driver guide who will take you by private transfer directly to your hotel in Arenal (about 2 hours). The rest of the afternoon and evening is at leisure. Relax in the pool or perhaps take a trip to the hot springs!

Top Tip: The Tabacon hotel also owns the Tabacon hot springs which are by far the best and most beautiful hot springs in Arenal. As guests of Tabacon you will have complimentary access to the hot springs. There is also a private area towards the back of the hot springs that is exclusively for guests of the hotel. The hot springs are a 5 minute drive down the road and there are free shuttles. We recommend going in the evening as the hot springs at that time are magical!

Today you will have the unique experience of flying through the air on a cable at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. As you climb higher you will have fantastic views of the volcano and Arenal lake. Howler monkeys are often seen in the treetops. Once at the top you begin your descent down a network of 7 cables, the longest of which is 760 metres and 200 metres high. This is an exhilarating experience offering a unique view of the volcano, the canopy and the lake beyond.

All four species of monkeys can be found in the park, one of the only areas in Costa Rica where this is possible, along with lots of other wildlife such as sloths, peccaries, several types of birds, iguanas and more. After the walk enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea before returning to the hotel by lunch time.
