Aguas Claras β Puerto Viejo β Costa Rica
Aguas Claras is the result of a lifelong passion project taken on by renown water colour artist Elizabeth Steinvorth and her daughter Elena Rohrmoser. In 2016 they began work on the hotel by bringing back to life a complex of old Victorian cabins with the aim of creating a small, luxurious boutique hotel with minimum environmental impact. The end product is a stunning property that features all the modern amenities but retains itβs unique, Victorian-Caribbean style. Each room and bungalow is individually designed and decorated with recycled materials, found objects and antique furniture.
"Aguas Claras means clear waters in reference to the beautiful Caribbean ocean that is just steps away from this small slice of paradise!"
The interiors are beautifully finished in striking white with splashes of vibrant colour provided by pieces of original artwork. The swimming pool was especially designed by Joan Roca and creates a tropical oasis surrounded by lush green foliage. The poolside Papaya restaurant and bar offers a relaxed, barefoot luxury atmosphere with fresh local ingredients and especially prepared cocktails. Chiquita beach is just steps away and the wellness centre offers daily yoga, meditation and martial arts.
