The journey to Casa Corcovado involves a boat ride through mangroves where sloths, monkeys, caiman and many varieties of birds can be seen and then out into the open ocean where dolphins and even whales are often spotted. Finally you arrive with a wet landing on a remote and wild tropical beach. This remarkable eco lodge was built by an American naturalist who has dedicated most of his life to protect and conserve this natural paradise. Bordering Corcovado national park, the wildlife viewing opportunities are astounding.
"Located in the heart of the Pacific rainforest and with no roads to the lodge, just getting there is an adventure in itself!"
The beautiful grounds and gardens are full of birdlife with scarlet macaws flying overhead, monkeys, coatimundi’s and more. Tapir are sometimes seen eating from the mango trees and there is even a puma on the property! The deluxe bungalows are spacious and exceptionally comfortable with outdoor showers, private porches, hammocks, ceiling fans, and a minibar. Other facilities include a fantastic sunset bar, a games room, a wonderful pool area, forest nature trails and a second secluded spring water fed pool. Daily excursions are to the national park and Caño Island for snorkelling and diving.
