Colca Lodge β Colca Canyon β Peru
The Colca Lodge is located in a secluded valley sheltered by pre-Inca terraced hillsides along the banks of the Colca River. The lodge was constructed with all local materials in a traditional and environmentally conscious way using stone, mud bricks and thatch. The large rooms are heated by solar power and an innovative geological heating system with locally woven llama and alpaca blankets providing an extra layer of warmth.
"The natural hot springs on the banks of the Colca River are the perfect way to end a long day."
All rooms feature breathtaking views across the valley from private terraces and are furnished in a rustic but comfortable style. The main building features a cosy fireplace and there are three restaurants on site serving thoughtfully designed Andean dishes. There is also a spa and four pools of natural hot springs down at the edge of the Colca River. Guests can unwind in the thermal mineral water whilst enjoying a glass of wine and watching the stars appear in the Southern Andean sky.
