Evergreen Lodge is one of Tortuguero’s most well established nature and wildlife lodges. It is surrounded by tropical rainforest and located adjacent to the Tortuguero national park. Many animals such as iguanas, monkeys, coati’s, caiman, macaws and hundreds of other birds can be spotted on the property, especially along the private nature trail. There is also an additional private dock facing the river from where guests can take out free kayaks to explore the area.

The simple rooms are raised off the ground in a bungalow style with private bathrooms, ceiling fans and mesh windows for a comfortable and authentic jungle experience. The restaurant serves three meals a day, buffet style and there is a bar by the turtle shaped pool which is a popular place to relax after a day of exploring the canals. There is also a canopy tour on site and the lodge offers guided nature walks around their property.
