The airport you arrive at will depend on your particular itinerary. There are daily flights from Quito and Guayaquil to the Galapagos. The flying time is about 1.5 hours from Guayaquil and between 2 and 3 hours from Quito. Please note that most flights from Quito to the Galapagos will touch down in Guayaquil to pick up and drop off more passengers before continuing onto the Galapagos islands.
The capital city of Ecuador is Quito, but the administrative capital of the Galapagos islands is Puerto Baquerizo Moreno which is located on San Cristobal Island.
