El Retablo is a unique bed and breakfast in Cusco, a completely renovated historic building that has been given a new lease of life as a colourful boutique hotel. The hotel celebrates the ‘El Retablo’ which is a form of Andean folk art that consists of different figurines in brightly painted portable boxes. All of the interiors are beautifully painted with intricate patterns on white walls.

The main hub of the hotel is the garden patio which makes a great place to gather and relax. There is also an additional interior lounge where a hearty breakfast is served daily. Each of the cosy rooms feature luxury bed linen and handwoven tapestries along with the essential comforts of heating and private bathrooms. The superior deluxe rooms are slightly larger and also benefit from great views over the rooftops of Cusco. The hotel is just a couple of blocks from the main square, an easy walk down a cobbled street.
