Eolo Lodge ● El Calafate ● Argentina
As a member of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux group, Eolo makes a strong claim for Argentina’s best luxury hotel. Designed by the architect Fernando Bustillo, Eolo is built in such a way that all rooms have big picture windows with views to Patagonia’s vast, grassy plains. The suites are painted in pastel colours, furnished with original antiques, but do not come with TV’s in order to emphasise and reflect the landscape outside.
“The floor to ceiling windows in all the suites offer panoramic views of the wild, windswept but beautiful Patagonian steppe.”
Located on a 10,000 acre private reserve about 45 minutes drive outside of El Calafate this elegant hotel has an idyllic location for experiencing Patagonia’s rugged beauty and immense scenery. The gourmet restaurant serves Patagonian cuisine with an international touch from an exciting menu designed by executive chef Juan Pablo Bonaveri. Although there is no full service spa, there is a dry sauna, small heated indoor swimming pool, a library, bar, massage room and TV room.
