Hacienda Leito is located just outside Patate in a scenic location surrounded by volcanoes. The hacienda has a long and colourful history stretching back 300 years when it was first established by Jesuit settlers. Nowadays it welcomes guests and the extensive grounds include a large heated swimming pool and spa. The spa includes a jacuzzi, several treatment rooms, Turkish baths and a fitness centre. The decor of the rooms is a little dated, but true to the style.

Fireplaces can be found in every room to keep you warm through the chilly Andean nights. The interiors are dotted with old paintings, antique furniture and interesting objects such as old typewriters. Meals are served in the restaurant from where there are views of the Tungurahua volcano. After dinner retire to the cosy bar for some drinks! Activities available at the hacienda include hiking, horse riding and cycling.
