Hotel Mayaland & Bungalows ● Chichen Itza ● Mexico
The Mayaland hotel was built in 1923 and it was the first resort to be constructed next to the world famous Chichen Itza ruins. The hotel has huge grounds including three kilometres of walking trails, immaculately maintained gardens, several swimming pools and different buildings. There are a total of three pools and six restaurants including a wood fired pizza restaurant, a poolside grill and buffet style restaurant. The spa is located in the Pavarotti building which was constructed specifically for the opera star when he came to visit.

Rooms are located in the main building which has three floors and there are additional bungalows that are more secluded and located around the property. All rooms and bungalows from with ceiling fans, air conditioning and private bathrooms and some offer views of the ruins themselves. There is a convenient private entrance to the ruins and other facilities include a gift shop, tennis courts and bicycles.
