Housed in a building that is 120 years old, La Quinta is an old guesthouse and pretty hotel. Built in a traditional style with wooden beams and balconies, this charming property offers simple but comfortable accommodation in Alausi. Located just up the hill from the train station from where the famous Devil’s Nose train journey departs, La Quinta has a convenient location with excellent views.

The restaurant is situated in an enclosed terrace with big glass windows overlooking the town below. There is also a terrace and a pretty patio garden. The rooms are simple, a touch bland and quite rustic, but come with the basic necessities of a private bathroom and hot water. There is also a family suite that offers more space. Although not much English is spoken here, the staff are warm and welcoming and breakfasts are hearty. A great spot for an overnight stay before the Devil’s Nose train.
