Monteverde Cloud Forest Lodge is a traditional mountain hotel located just outside of the town of Santa Elena and a ten minute drive from the Monteverde Reserve. Surrounded by the forest, the lodge enjoys a secluded setting with excellent views all the way to the Gulf of Nicoya and the Pacific coast on a clear day. The property is made up of a main lodge that features the Motmot restaurant that serves hearty Costa Rican fare, a large main balcony and an indoor bar and television room.

All the rooms are spread out along the path leading away from the main lodge. Rooms are simple with basic amenities but all come with private bathrooms, a safe, hair dryer and a private porch. There are 4km of private nature trails within the property for the guests to explore. Many efforts are made by the lodge to maintain their strong environmental principles such as their extensive recycling program and the use of biodegradable toiletries and cleaning products.
