Petit Lafitte enjoys a great location on a tranquil stretch of coast just outside the busier town of Playa del Carmen. A refreshing alternative from the bigger, all inclusive resorts that are ubiquitous in this area, Petit Lafitte has a much more intimate and personal atmosphere. There are two types of accommodation at Petit Lafitte, either the rooms that are housed in small, two or three storey, painted white blocks with palm thatched roofs; or separate wooden cabañas. Both room types have either garden or ocean views and all include ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and private balconies or terraces.

There are two dining options, either the main Captains Gallery restaurant or the more informal Pirates Cove beachfront bar. The White Health spa offers an array of massages, facials and manicures and there is even a small animal rescue centre at the back of the property with toucans, parrots and more. Other facilities include a games room with a pool and a ping pong table, plus a dive shop.
