Playa Nicuesa Eco Lodge β Osa Peninsular β Costa Rica
Playa Nicuesa is an eco lodge located on the shore of the Golfo Dulce in the Osa Peninsula and adjacent to the Piedras Blancas National Park. The lodge is only accessible by boat and sits within its own 165 acre verdant rainforest reserve. The lodge was constructed in the most sustainable way possible using salvaged Costa Rican hardwoods and the electricity comes from solar power. They also have a comprehensive recycling program and biodegradable toiletries. The rooms and cabins do not have air conditioning, but ceiling fans and louvered doors ensure a cool breeze drifts through.
"Playa Nicuesa is an authentic eco lodge in a stunning and secluded location with the calm waters of the Golfo Dulce on one side and the rainforest on the other."
Each room and cabin is different and dotted around the property, but all have private terraces and indoor and outdoor bathrooms. The main lodge houses the impressive canopy level restaurant as well as plenty of space to relax in a hammock plus a small library. Other facilities include a yoga deck and small dock. Wildlife viewing in this remote and peaceful location is second to none and there are a huge variety of activities on offer. Kayaks, stand up paddle boards and snorkelling equipment are all provided free of charge.
