Located just outside the country town of Cañuelas and under an hour’s drive from Buenos Aires, Puesto Viejo is a tranquil 250 acre estancia featuring an active polo club and a small boutique hotel. The rooms in the hotel are all individually designed and decorated with antiques bought from the local market. They have a traditional and authentic country feel. Meals are served in the dining room or outdoors under the trees where fellow travellers can meet and exchange stories from around the world. Traditional Argentine asados (BBQ’s) are also held outside over an open fire. The swimming pool is a nice spot to relax and soak up the sun, whilst more active guests can horse ride, hike, cycle or go birdwatching.
