Situated in the Ecuadorian Amazon basin and accessed by plane, boat and dugout canoe, Sacha Lodge is a 5000 acre private reserve offering an immersive but comfortable jungle experience. There are 26 rooms housed in traditional thatched roofed buildings constructed using locally sourced materials. Each room comes with a private shaded terrace with a hammock, a private bathroom, ceiling fan and a comprehensive screen for the insects.

The heart of the Lodge is the Balsa, a covered al fresco lounge overlooking Pilchicocha lake, where cocktails are served at sunset and caiman, giant otters and a myriad of birdlife can easily be seen. Sacha has its own 275 metre long and 36 metre high canopy walkway which is unique in Ecuador. This impressive tree top bridge allows guests a unique view of the jungle. Other facilities include a 43 metre high observation tower, several private rainforest hiking trails and a butterfly house. Daily excursions are lead by professional resident guides on land and by dugout canoe.
