The Xandari hotel is no more than 20 minutes from the international airport but feels a world apart from the city, perched on a hilltop overlooking San Jose and the Central Valley. This environmentally friendly and wellness focussed hotel is set within 40 acres of perfectly maintained tropical gardens with 5 waterfalls and an orchid house. They keep goats and chickens and grow their own fruit and vegetables in the on site organic farm which provides most of the food served in the hotel restaurant.

Each of the multi-coloured villas have their own private terrace with excellent views, original art pieces, luxury organic toiletries and complimentary snacks and soft drinks in the mini bar. Whilst there are no TV’s in the rooms there is a dedicated TV room in the main building along with a ping pong table.
