Zocalo Central ● Mexico City ● Mexico
The Zocalo Central hotel in Mexico City enjoys one of the most privileged locations with a direct view to the iconic square from the rooftop restaurant and terrace. Although this historic area of the city is busy and bustling with activity during the day, at night time it is mostly quiet so noise is not an issue. The hotel has a particular historic significance as it is housed in a 19th century building and built on the site of the emperor Moctezuma’s former palace.
“A reliable city hotel with an enviable location right in the heart of the action overlooking the iconic Zocalo square”
The interior decoration, however, is modern in style with subtle references to the building’s past. Most rooms do not offer a view of the square, and some of the rooms are quite small and a little dark. Having said this, they are very comfortable and come with all the modern amenities you need. Free bottled water and fruit is also available. Other facilities include a gym, steam room and complimentary bicycles. The best feature, however, is undeniably the panoramic views from the rooftop terrace, bar and restaurant.
