The Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve is located in the far southwestern part of Bolivia. It contains many landscapes including erupting volcanoes and hot springs. The Eduardo Avaroa reserve is located at an elevation between 4,200 m (13.800 ft), and 5,400m (17.700 ft). It covers 714,745ha (1,766,170 Acres) and includes Laguna Colorada National Wildlife Sanctuary. it is almost always visited as part of our Bolivia adventure tours including the the Uyuni Slat Flats.

When is the Best Time to Visit Bolivia's Reserva Eduardo Avaroa?

The climate of the reserve is dry in winter (May through August), and generally there is no rain in summer (December through April). The average temperature is 3 degrees Celsius (37 degrees Fahrenheit). The hottest months are May, June, and July.
