SACRED VALLEY | PERU

Why Visit the Sacred Valley in Peru?

"Quaint Andean villages, ancient Inca ruins, salt ponds, mountain scenery and colourful markets make the Sacred Valley an essential stop on any Peru itinerary."

The Sacred Valley is an area of bucolic farmland located about 15km north of Cuzco towards Machu Picchu. Spread out along the Urubamba river are a handful of attractive towns and villages where locals sell their wares at traditional markets. The valley is home to Ollantaytambo and Pisac, two old Inca Citadels, and other mesmerising Inca sites such as the salt ponds at Maras and the ethereal circular terraces at Moray. With a wealth of top accommodation options this peaceful corner of the Andes is a fantastic place to breathe in Peruvian culture.
